PERSONAL BRANDING

Personal Branding elements are to reflect just that, you personally. I am in love with anything Rustic. I wanted my logo to reflect that. The burlap looking background gives the logo the rustic feel. The bull-skull inspiration is from a piece of decor I have in my house. It is my favorite piece and represents the strong, bold side of me. The font, layout of my name, and flowers then reflect the feminine side of me. All of these working together, represent me, and my graphic design capabilities.

ZENISEK SIGNS & DESIGNS

Zenisek Signs and Designs is an upcoming business that will create any sign you can imagine. Serena is the "Design," and Brennan, is the "Sign." I created a logo for them that represents the process of how they make custom signs. The font is a masculine font. Bold and straight forward. Paired with a more script font, represents the design and flexibility of what can be done. The small flame emblem represents the process of how the signs are then created. They are created on a flame table, or also known as a plasma table. This stood out to me as a key point on how it is done. All of these elements working together perfectly represent Brennan and Serena's business together.

BIG BAY BIRDATHON

Big Bay Birdathon was looking for an advertising flyer, and a brochure to be designed. I was supplied with the bird images, and logos displayed on the flyer, and was given the information they wanted on each item. I wanted to start off by creating a unique title by using silhouettes of birds to work into the letters. I then chose to work my design off of one of the brightest images I was supplied. I wanted that to be the focal point of each piece. I then choose big bold fonts to stand out against the bright background. My color choices were pulled from the main image. All of these elements working together created a bright, and eye catching set of advertising pieces.

COLLEGE GOURMET

College Gourmet came to me and wanted a unique folder brochure designed. With this customer I had to start from scratch. I started off by creating a logo to reflect what College Gourmet is. I then decided what information should go into the brochure. Then I continued to design the unique folds. The unique folds allow the brochure to have a cut out coupon. This brings customers to the store where there can be more advertising, and sales. For the design I wanted to use bold visible fonts, and use colors that are bright and go along with what College Gourmet is. College Gourmet is a pizza line, and a soft yellow/orange color reflects that. Using the single color as the primary color, and using simple black and white for text and other design elements, helps the color stand out.

HOUSE FOR SALE FLYER

This flyer was created for a family friend who was struggling to sell their house. I explained the benefits to them of, advertising and the power of social media. They asked if I would help them create something eye catching that they could post on social media. I asked them to supply me with pictures of the "selling points" of the house, and the information they would want on the posting. They did a good job of supplying me with images that display a large garage that is hard to come by in a small town. I used these images for my color selections fo the flyer. I wanted the focal points to be the overall house image, and the selling price. I then wanted to use a large bold font for the date and time of the open house. The other detailed information displayed on the flyer is subtle, and people who are interested can read more in depth if they choose to.

COOK BOOK

I wanted to create a cook book that my family could pass down for generations to come. The cook book would include recipes from my grandma, and great grandma. Being that the oldest recipes we have in our family are from my great grandma, I wanted the book to reflect her. Feminine, and bright. My script font selections reflect the feminine side of my great grandma, and my color, and image selections reflect her bright side. The white space on each page also helps to keep the pages "clean" and not cluttered with too much text.

2019 Variable Mailer Page_edited.png

VARIABLE DATA MAILER

I wanted to create this piece to showcase my ability to set up variable data. I created a mailer that has 3 areas of variable data. The first piece of variable data would insert the persons first name. The second piece of variable data would be random, and would be a dollar amount off of a Teeth Whitening Kit. The final piece of variable data would be an image. This image would be based of the patients gender. The corresponding image would then be placed into the mailer. This helps to personalize each mailer, and becomes more appealing to the customers when they can relate to it.

WEDDING INVITATION

This wedding invitation was to reflect that of the theme of the wedding. The bride wanted it to be rustic, and to use hues of purple. I tied in the rustic feel by creating a textured background, and using green foliage in the design. I wanted to use subtle colors aside from the purples. I then wanted my font choices to be elegant so I used a handwritten script font. This helped to make the invitation feel romantic. Pair the handwritten script font with a simple serif font. Serifs help the eye to travel along the line of text easier when being read.

I feel that all of these pieces reflect my capabilities of being a graphic designer. I am strong with creating pieces that are clean, and can be used diversely. Having a background in the print industry helps me to better envision all the possibilities of end products.
